In terms of the traditional Chinese medicine, goji berries are sweet in taste and neutral in nature. They act on the liver, lungs, and kidneys and enrich yin. They can be consumed raw, as juice, wine, tea, or tincture. A daily dose of 10-30 g provides more vitamin C than oranges, more beta-carotene than carrots and more iron than a steak. Goji berry is a good source of B vitamins and antioxidants. Rich in polysaccharides, goji berries enhance immune system function. They contain 18 amino acids and potassium.
Goji berry is a good adaptogen (adaptogens have general therapeutical impact on the body).
