Gluten-free fine oats "quick oats" are made from the same oat grain as Gluten-free fine oats, but the processing is different: after the outermost husk has been removed in both variants, the oats undergo a steam heat treatment, as for the quick oats, this processing takes a longer time. The other main difference is in the rolling - "quick oats" are pressed more thinly than the classic ones, which further contributes to their faster preparation.
Gluten-free quick oats are grown by certified organic farmers in Finland. They are then processed in a gluten-free environment and each batch is tested to ensure it contains no more than 20ppm (particles) of gluten, according to the new EU regulation on foods labeled "gluten-free". Oats belong to the cereal family, and what we know as "oats" are actually hulled and crushed oat grains. They are a typical example of a whole grain food - they contain all the constituent parts of the grain: the germ, the inner part and the shell (bran).
How to use Fine gluten-free Quick oats - organic - bulk:
For one cup of oatmeal, use 2 cups of liquid (boiling water, plant-based milk, or a mix of water and milk). Cook on the stove for 3 minutes and breakfast is ready. Serve with toppings of your choice.
Oats can be consumed without cooking, by pre-soaking them until desired softening.
