To make the highest quality cinnamon powder, the layers of bark closest to the heart of the cinnamon tree are used. This ensures a higher content of essential oils, which contributes to the high quality. It is obtained from the southern regions of the island of Sri Lanka (formerly called Ceylon).
How to use Ceylon cinnamon powder, class A - organic:
Ideal both for flavoring simple dishes that will allow us to enjoy the quality more fully (rice pudding, yogurt with honey and cinnamon, baked pumpkin or apples sprinkled with cinnamon), and for more complex baked goods, in which cinnamon is the main spice (cinnamon rolls, banana bread, pumpkin pie, strudel and others). Also excellent for adding to favorite warming drinks: chai masala, chai latte, golden milk. In Indian cuisine, rice and vegetable dishes, various dal dishes, sauces, soups and more are flavored with cinnamon.
