Organic textured vegetable protein is made from soy flour that undergoes a dehydration process to create a meat-like texture that can easily be used in vegan cooking. The organic mince option is slightly chunkier than non-organic mince varieties.

Organic TVP is also known as soy protein, soy meat, soy mince or soy chunks depending on where you shop. Dishes such as chilli con carne and ‘beef’ stews are great contenders when it comes to choosing the best recipes for getting creative with organic textured vegetable protein.

Cooking instructions:

1. Soak for 10-15 minutes until the mince is rehydrated before adding to a dish. 2. For dishes with more liquid (bolognaise, curries etc), there is no need to pre-soak. The mince will rehydrate as it cooks.
