Black maca is the most rare species of a Peruvian plant that grows in the Central Andes at high altitudes of up to 4000m. The root of the maca has been used by native tribes for millennia as food and a means of sustaining the energy, endurance and strength of the organism. Since the root of the black maca is coloured only on the outside, the dried powder remains pale yellow with a slight hue.
Directions for use:
The recommended daily dose is 1 tablespoon a day. If you are taking maca for the first time, start with 1 tsp. a day and gradually increase the amount. Add to juices, shakes, muesli or use to make ice cream, creams and energy bars.
