Yellow mustard seeds have a balanced, not too intense aroma and slightly peppery taste. In its raw state, they are extremely bitter, but when slightly heated in oil, they released a wonderful aroma, best known from the mustard. According to Ayurveda yellow mustard seeds are bitter and pungent in taste, thus balancing Kapha and Vata, and overloading Pitta, because at the same time it is a heating spice. These seeds aids digestion.
Directions for use:
Combines wonderfully with spices such as ginger, turmeric, paprika and coriander. Suitable for the preparation of mustard, pickles, dressings, soups and various dishes.
