Organic Hulled Millet, Alce Nero, 400 g

Millet has small circular beads, which may be white, gray, yellow or red. The most widespread form is its pearl variety. Millet has a very hard seed shell that can not be processed by the body. It is therefore necessary to remove it.
With its neutral taste, millet is often combined with a bouquet of spices - basil, celery, chilli, coriander, dill, garlic, mint, oregano, parsley, thyme and rosemary. Well combined with ingredients for cereals and desserts - cinnamon, coconut, raisins, dried cherries and apricots, orange juice, vanilla and sunflower seeds. The tastes of millet and various vegetables is also excellent, especially when they are cooked on grill.

Preparation:

Carefully add 2 or 3 cups boiling veggie stock or water and 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional), or to taste, to a large pan or a medium pot. Return to a boil, then reduce the heat and cover. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until all the liquid has been absorbed, 20-25 minutes. Turn off heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff immediately with a fork.
