Mint essential oil is derived from steam distillation of the leaves and stems of Mentha arvensis, popular as wild mint, field mint or Japanese mint. It is native to the central and western hot regions in Europe and Asia, eastern Siberia and the Himalayas. This mint has higher levels of menthol (about 80% of volatile oil) compared with peppermint (Mentha piperita), and is most often used for the extraction of this chemotype. The traditional Chinese and Indian herbalist medicine use it to support the digestive processes. The oil is colorless to yellow-green, with an intense and refreshing smell and a characteristic, hot and pungent flavor. MARNYS® Mint essential oil contains chemotypes: menthol, menthone and isomenthone.

MARNYS® Mint essential oil is food grade, being a magnificent addition to salads, soups, sauces and stews. It is also used to accompany meat roasts. You can use it to prepare an exquisite and aromatic tabbouleh with couscous, cucumber, tomato, onion, orange, tangerine, green and red peppers, parsley and japanese mint oil. Always take the oil diluted, 1-2 drops, in 250g of food (juice, tea, salad). Maximum 3 times a day. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep in a cool, dry and protected from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
