The rosehip is the reddish, slightly astringent fruit of Rosa canina. It is wildly known for its high vitamin C content and also for its many therapeutic properties. Rosehip berries are mainly used as an ingredient of herbal teas or homemade marmalades. When it is dried and finely ground, rosehip makes perfect flour that gives a particularly high nutritional density to the food prepared with it.
Rosehip flour contains pectin which aids digestion, reduces cramps and bloating. It is also rich in flavonoids, known for their high antioxidant activity.
Directions for use:
Add it to shakes, juices, yogurt, smoothies, fruit purees, cereals and more. Make a nice refreshing drink only by adding warm water, lemon juice and orange peel.
