Palo santo (Bursera graveolens) is a tree, native to Peru, Ecuador, and other South American countries. The oil has a rich aroma with hints of lemon and mint. Through the process of steam distillation, the essential oil is extracted from the bark of the tree. The wood comes from Paraguay, and the only trees that are picked are the ones that have already fallen. Palo Santo actually means "Holy Wood", hence it is commonly used in South America for spritual practices. Oil of Palo Santo (Holy Tree), suitable for massage and aromatherapy.

Because of the large and rising interest in Palo Santo, the wild woods are being cut down at an alarming rate. As a result, the Peruvian government designated the Palo Santo as "Critically Endangered" in 2006, prohibiting the cutting of live trees and permitting only the harvesting of naturally fallen or dead trees. The essential oil is collected from the ground's fallen wood. The tree can live for up to 100 years.
How to use Palo Santo Essential Oil:
Massage - 3 drops in 50 ml base oil. Aroma lamp - 3 drops. As an additive to ready-made cosmetic creams and body lotions: 0.002-1%.
Before use, do a sensitivity test on the elbow.
