De-shelled sunflower seeds are very nutritious and rich in Vitamins B1, B5, B9 and Vitamin E. They provide the microelements copper, manganese and selenium. Just 1/4 tea cup(4 table spoons) of sunflower seeds is enough to provide 50% of the RDA of copper, manganese and selenium. The sunflower seeds contain healthy fats, which raise levels of "good" LDL cholesterol which protects the heart and cardiovascula system. Other substances in the sunflower seeds are tryptophan and choline - Tryptophan helps to reduce stress, anxiety and depression, and Choline helps brain function, especially on memory improvement.
Directions:
