GEO Sprouter provides a convenient way to easily grow your own sprouted seeds. Larger than most traditional stacking sprouters the gaps between the trays provide excellent ventilation and help prevent mould. How to sprout:
Soak seeds overnight (8-10 hours). The following day rinse seeds under running water and spread them evenly on the trays with the help of your hands, if necessary. Water seeds with a full glass of water at least 2 times a day (1 in the morning, 1 in the evening); in case of hot climates give water more frequently to avoid seeds drying. While sprouting a big amount of seeds, take care of moving seeds during the period to equally water them. Keep the sprouter in a place at room temperature, avoid direct light on seeds. Sprouts are ready in 3-5 days according to varieties and temperatures. Keep refrigerated up to 1 week. Before consumption, remove hulls from sprouts if necessary.
How to sprout mucilaginous seeds (cress, rocket, flax, basil):
Avoid soaking period in water. Instead, spread seeds evenly on the trays with the help of your hands, if necessary, and keep the sprouter always moist. Just wet seeds by vaporising them 5-6 times for the first 3-4 days, then 2-3 times. Sprouts are ready in 8-10 days.
